The creation of metal art or metal sculpture starts with either flat sheet metal, steel rod or possibly a piece or raw material that already has a shape.
Silhouettes are hand drawn onto the steel which is then cut with a plasma cutter. Next the piece is chemically treated to 'color' the sculpture. Finally, it is coated with automotive clear coat for shine and durability.
Items that are painted are painted with automotive paint to give them color and again durability.
Bells are made of steel and chemically treated to achieve color and design. This is followed by automotive clear coat for protection and shine.
Trees and bushes are made with steel rod. Thorns, stems, roses and leaves are made separately and then welded into place. This is followed by painting and overcoating.
